Half Day Private Edinburgh Tour

On this panoramic tour of Scotland’s Capital city Edinburgh we’ll cram in as much as possible into the four hours we have. Starting on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, that sits proudly at the top of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, from this point we’ll visit all the unique and fascinating locations that are located around the city that have so much history and gripping stories that go with them.

  • Pick up from your location in the Edinburgh area, head for the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle
  • Walk down to Lawnmarket, to see how the locals lived away back to the 15th century
  • On to the High Street part of the Mile sits St Giles Cathedral, this area was one of the main bustling points of Edinburgh, from the Luckenbooths and the Heart of Midlothian, to the Old Tolbooth and Mercat Cross, the history here is endless
  • Head along to the end of George IV Bridge, we have Greyfriars Kirk, the cemetery that gave some inspiration to JK Rowling for her Harry Potter books
  • Back over to see the rest of the Royal Mile, covering the bottom half and the Canongate, leading to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament
  • Drive up and around Arthur’s Seat taking in the stunning views of Edinburgh and beyond
  • Final part of the Old Town along to the Grassmarket, see where the main hanging point of the city was, filled with some fascinating but sad stories of Edinburgh’s past
  • Finishing of with a panoramic tour of Edinburgh’s New Town, visit moray Place, known as the most elegant part of the New Town, and Dean Village, this once thriving of Edinburgh’s economy, where several mills once sat on the banks of the Water of Leith

This is a half day tour, you won’t be entering any of the places of interest, on this tour we give you a feel of the city so you can visit these locations on your own free will.
