This is a full day tour of some of Scotland’s oldest and greatest attractions in the Stirling area. Visit Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s oldest and significant structures that dates back as far as the 12th century. From here we’ll visit Doune Castle or the Wallace Monument, Doune Castle known best over the years as the location of the filming of the famous Monty Python and the Holy Grail back in 1975, but more recently the castle was used in the early episodes of the smash tv series outlander.
This area of Scotland is steeped in history from the Castles to the Wallace monument and site of the Battle of Bannockburn, all a short distance from each other, also you have Deanston Distillery in the area, so you have an option of a tour or just a tasting, this can all be arranged at the point of the tour booking, and to finish the day off on our return to Edinburgh we’ll have a 10 minute photo opportunity at The Kelpies.
This is a 9-10 hour tour from Edinburgh depending on the locations you would like to visit. Entry fees are not included.
